Claudia Massa joined Avens in 1996 and is now a partner at the firm.
Claudia gained experience through extensive litigation work in commercial, civil, administrative and European courts, where she represents the interests of French and international companies of all sizes.
Day-to-day consulting for major state-owned companies has given her in-depth knowledge of cross-cutting issues (private/public law) affecting public economic actors.
Currently, her work is focused in the following areas:
– public procurement: Claudia Massa advises contracting authorities (during the development of a purchasing strategy, in drafting tendering documents, in implementing the tendering process, representation in the event of litigation in contract tendering or enforcement) as well as French and foreign bidder companies (bidding strategy, negotiation, litigation)
– French and European competition law (state subsidies, abuse of economic power, cross-subsidies, breach of contract)
– public commercial law (in particular universal service obligations) / reuse of public information
– Sports law: Claudia Massa provides legal representation to professional athletes.
Claudia Massa offers advisory and litigation services in all of these areas. She leads training courses for the legal and operational teams of the firm’s clients, in particular on providing assistance with submitting a bid.
She also helps develop the firm’s international trade law activities.
